On the 29th of October 2022, Cantores Matris Dei sang our first engagement with our new line up, a Requiem Mass for a Mrs Hughes of Coatbridge. It is always a solemn privilege to sing the sacred liturgy, particularly when the intention is so focussed on aiding an individual on their way to God. Parish Priest, Fr Denney offered his first Requiem Mass in the Extraordinary Form with recollected intent and his homily spoke of the depth of the prayers which hasten this faithful soul to her rest.
